The original homestead was built in 1970 by the Italian builder Umberto Beccaro. At the time he was an esteemed builder of many upmarket houses in Johannesburg and this was the house that he built for his own family. It always remained in the Beccaro family and in 2017 it underwent a full renovation to convert into an elegant Guesthouse providing luxury accommodation with a personal touch. The name Amberhall Guesthouse is inspired by the alley of Liquid Amber trees marking the entrance to our homestead.
